Melty, gooey, and famous throughout the forest!

Supplies:

  • 1 Package Graham Crackers
  • 1-2 Milk Chocolate Bars, Choose Your Favorite Brand
  • 20 – 30 Normal Size Marshmallows (depending on your skillet size)
  • Cast Iron Skillet (any size, just adjust the ingredients accordingly)
  • Parchment Paper (optional)
  • Tin Foil

Instructions:

  1. Line the bottom of the skillet with parchment paper; it makes clean up a cinch for us little chipmunks.
  2. Break the graham crackers into rectangles or squares and layer the bottom of the skillet.
  3. Cover the graham crackers with a single layer of marshmallows. Don’t pack them too tight!
  4. Break the chocolate bar/s into small pieces and tuck them into cozy chipmunk spaces between the marshmallows.
  5. Stick extra graham cracker pieces into the layer of marshmallows — like mountains poking out of marshmallow clouds! These make fun “nacho chips” for Rosie to scoop with.
  6. Cover the skillet with aluminum foil and cook over a low fire or medium grill for 15-20 minutes, until it’s warm and gooey.
  7. That’s it! Scoop the mixture onto plates for your forest friends or dig in chipmuck-style and use the graham cracker “nacho chips” to scoop up the gooey goodness right from the skillet!

Be Careful! The skillet gets very hot. Kids, always have a grown-up handle the fire and carry the skillet. Grown-ups, be careful when serving to the little ones! As an option, you can use the parchment paper to lift the mixture out of the skillet and into a pie dish for serving to children.
